Verizon htc phones, read desc.!!?Well I was wondering if I were to buy an htc phone off eBay, and contract it with verizon, would I have to purchase a data pack with it? Please help, best answer gets 10pts

Verizon requires all smartphones to get a Data Plan.
Unless you use your data plan 8 hours a day 7 days a week... the 2Gb/month plan is sufficient for 90% of all users.
