the difference between their programs is beacause of their Operation System(OS) for example sony ericsson's OS supports Java 2(.JAR) programs but most of Nokias are symbiyan and it supports more program(.SIS and .JAR) and most of nokia's interactive programs are .sis that doesn't work on sonyericsson cell phones but u can find a few good programs for sony that contains good games and a few simple programs like units convertor and periodic table of elements ... and I should tell u that http://www.lasyk.net/ is a really good site for downloading theme and MIDI ringtone!!!
