Q&A: Why my phone battery die so fast?

Why my phone battery die so fast?I have htc g2 and it have full battery and after 10min it goes to 85%. Is it because i put it in the charge for long time? And should i get a new battery for it? I need help.

I used to have the mytouch and same problem, its probably one of your apps. The app anti virus on my mytouch killlled my battery

Try going into your settings and turning off all the extras. When you run things like GPS, WIFI, along with 3G, it will cut down your battery life considerably on various mobiles. Also try turning the brightness down on your phone. Otherwise, you might need a new battery.

I was gonna say make sure you charge it real good. Because my battery kept dying at first, now its fine. Make sure you kill all the apps when you're not using them. Next time you go to best buy, radio shack or somewhere ask a sells person about it...
