Can i put a 3g sim card with no data plan in an unlocked htc inspire or or hd7 and use only the wifi?Hey, i was wondering what would happen if i put my 3g sim card for at&t in one of their new smart phones. I don't have a data plan, nor do i want one. I just want to use the wifi. Is this possible or will something happen after i put the sim card in. Thanks!

it will work IF the sim card AND phone are both from AT&T or if the phone is unlocked. The inspire allows you to turn mobile data on & off, so you'll want to make sure that it's always off or you'll get nailed with pay-per-use data charges and they aren't cheap. You can put a button on any of the inspire's homescreens to turn mobile data on & off, that would be a good idea because if you have to restart the phone, it might turn on by default.
