There is a "Download!" application on the phone which is in fact an applications catalogue from which you can download free or buy commercial applications and content (ringtones, themes, ...).
Also, have a look at http://mosh.nokia.com, there are plenty of freeware applications and content items there, including themes, guaranteed to work on your phone (make sure you specify your phone in your account's info)
