Restore messages to Nokia 6680.?

I have a Nokia 6680 phonewhich had never been formatted before.

i had backed up the "phone memory+memory card contents" using Nokia PC suite, on my pc. and synchronised contacts, notes etc using MS Outlook.
Also, i had copied the E:\System\Mail folder. But the file "index" in the folder wasnt copied.
Then i formatted the memory card and updated software of phone using "Nokia Software Updater".

So now i have a clean cellphone with new firmware.

I restored synchronised contacts etc back 2 the phone.
I tried copying the Mail folder back in E:\System\Mail, but the messages werent restored. I had lots of messages in separate folders+abt 100 picture msgs.

Plz tell me a way now, with which i can still have a clean phone and also restore all messages (messages from inbox, my folders etc) back to my memory card by
-somehow extracting messages from the backup file and restoring on my cellphone
-or from the folder E:\System\Mail that i had copied
