My Nokia 6100 is a bit faulty, and I have the file to fix it but I don't have a cable, and it can't receive MMS or go on the internet. I have the file on my other phone, a Nokia 6280, but I am not sure how to use the infrared feature to send the file to the other phone. Can someone please give me step by step details how to do this? Or if it even works the way I think?

Activate the InfraRed on both phone. Then try to Send the file via InfraRed and you'll see that the phone will start searching for other InfraRed Devices and once found, select the phone and send the file.
