I've been fooled by the OEM garbage they sell on ebay. The last 2

I've bought cell phone batteries from http://www.newegg.com & http://www.cellbatterystore.com and they both worked great.
I know what you mean about getting garbage online. Sometimes its worth paying a little more to avoid the irritation of constantly having to charge your battery.

You can buy it from http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&keywords=Nokia%20cell%20phone%20battery&tag=189-20&index=blended&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325

I second cellbatterystore.com. Most stores only carry aftermarket batteries (and they cost like $ 50). I tried Bestbuy, Radio shack and even Tmobile. None of them had my phone battery. I also got ripped of on an amazon store. Those web sites must have no regulations. I can see everyone flaming the product in the reviews, but the stores dont get closed!
Careful where you buy!

When buying a new battery you should really get it from a reputable place. There are a lot of sellers out their reselling refurbished batteries. These batteries still hold a charge but their life span has been dramatically reduced. If you wonder why they are selling it for only $ 5, it's because they almost got the old batteries for free. Disposing of old batteries is something that companies have to pay for. They just can't throw them in the garbage.
Make sure your battery comes in a sealed retail package. Known quality retailers are:
http://www.motorola.com and http://www.cellbatterystore.com. You can also find aftermarket replacements at http://www.bestbuy.com and http://www.radioshack.com.
