HTC has several classifications of their smart phones which include the X, T, S, P, A and 7 Series. HTC phones were initially designed to run only on the Windows operating system from Microsoft. However, after some time the company embraced another operating system known as Android, from Google. There are several smart phones categorized under the 7 series. An example of the smart phones in this series is the HTC Arrive, also known as the HTC 7 Pro. This phone is mainly for the business people and it is a successor to the HTC Touch Pro 2, which means that most of the features have been improved. This includes the camera, Wi-Fi and audio, among other improvements.
The HTC 7 Pro is designed with a slide on the left that reveals the QWERTY keyboard and a tilting screen. Another smart phone under the HTC 7 series category is the HTC 7 Trophy that was released in October 2010. This phone is supplied by 3 Wireless, Vodafone and Coolblue in various countries, including the US, the UK, Italy, France and Australia. The HTC 7 Trophy has a 3.8 inch touch display which is a WVGA LCD panel. The phone's processor has a speed of 1GHz and a memory of 512 megabytes ROM and 576 megabytes RAM. A micro SD slot is available for expanding the memory.
The HTC Trophy 7 has different designs and specifications to suit regulations in different countries and this includes a micro SD slot of 8GB and another for 16GB; and also a yellow battery compartment and a red one. The HTC Mozart is another 7 Series phone which was mainly designed to address the high fidelity of audio files, as well as for built in SRS Surround Sound and Dolby Mobile. This phone is also the only HTC phone which runs on Windows and, at the same time, uses a Qualcomm S2 Generation chipset. Specifications of the HTC Mozart include 1 GHz processor, 3.7 inches display, 576MB RAM and 512MB ROM, a 9 megapixel camera and support for GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Another smart phone categorized under the HTC 7 series is the HTC HD7 which succeeded the HD2 in October, 2010. The HTC HD 7's specifications include a 4.3 inch touch display, a 5 megapixel color camera, 1 GHz processor speed and social networking, among others. The HD7S is one of the special variations that are only available through AT&T. The HTC 7 Surround is another 7 Series HTC phone which was unveiled in November, 2010 by AT&T. The HTC 7 Surround has a slide out speaker together with a 3.8 inch WVGA LCD touch display that has a 480 by 800 pixel resolution capable of producing 16 million colors.
