The HTC Flyer tablet offers highly portable design

Article by Dominic Burn

The HTC Flyer offers a lightweight and highly portable design for a tablet device and is ready for you to listen to music, enjoy videos or play games on. The tablet has a great 7 inch touch display which provides an enhanced experience for Android and the HTC Sense user interface, along with the many apps which run on them.

The device provides a simple and lightweight choice for you to be entertained through its gaming features as well as its music and more via a large 7 inch display which provides greater clarity and visibility for many of the task you wish to perform. Taking pictures is easy with the rear facing 5 megapixel camera in addition to a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera too. The large screen provides a better view for images and videos alike when viewed back on the same device. Tablet devices are able to offer something between a mobile handset and a laptop or netbook portable computer. There bigger display offers an overall better experience for many of the apps which you are probably downloading and using on your mobile handset, especially gaming apps.

The Flyer is among the latest contender on this new market which was essentially developed by Apple through its iPad. The difference with this tablet is that it comes in at a much lower price and provides an open source Android operating system with the Sense user interface, which many HTC phone users will also like, as they will be instantly accustomed to how everything works. This is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Tab which also provides the Android operating system, however the HTC interface and social networking integration are likely to be better known by many users of mobile handsets from the manufacturer, making it one of the most likely strongest competitors in this new and emerging marketplace.

The tablet includes great hardware in offering the power of a 1.5 GHz processor which makes it capable of running multiple applications at once, while also ensuring that the larger screen gaming, web browsing and email among other features appear perfectly on the 7 inch display. Meanwhile, Android Market allows you to download more apps, and there is plenty of space for them and your multimedia through the 32 gigabytes of internal storage in addition to microSD swappable memory.

The combined hardware of the HTC Flyer along with a well known operating system and user interface makes it a likely choice for most. The cameras and bigger screen all allow it to perform many tasks but better, and offer the ultimate in-between computer and phone experience.
