Why cant I activate my verizon HTC XV6900 as a prepay?I bought the verizon HTC XV6900 from a friend. I've tried a zillion times to activate this phone as a prepay, but no luck.
Why is it that verizon cannot activate this phone as a prepay? They say it has to be on a plan for them to activate it.
Is there any way they can reprogram it for me, or remove some of the features so that it can be used as a prepay? I don't know much about technology, but is there any way I could reprogram it & make it work?
Has anyone else experienced this before?

this is a guess but, since the HTC phones seem a little overboard and much more advance than the average cell phone, i think they would have it as a bill plan than a minute plan since it its like a pocket PC phone or a PDA, also if any phone that has windows mobile installed as its OS it has to be activated my a bill plan because u need to pay for a data plan if you are interested in surfing the web and all since it uses megabytes on their side and it is the internet, you just cant have that for free. the only think i can think of for a minute phone is a standard phone that cant surf the web or has all the nice features that a real phone on a bill plan would lave like the voyager and the env series. sorry :(
i cant really think of another alternate way that pay a full bill plan on a carrier.

Verizon doesn't allow all of it's phones to be used as a prepaid.
