Take A Closer Look at the Outstanding New HTC Eternity and HTC Sensation Phones
Article by Thomas Whittle
The HTC Sensation is the high end smartphone that was recently launched by HTC, but it seems that the company is not satisfied with the availability of this phone at the top end of the spectrum. They also preparing the launch of the HTC Eternity, which is likely going to compete with the HTC Sensation. One may question the business model of HTC, but it does not take long to realise that both phones are extremely different even though they come from the same manufacturer. This is because while the Sensation supports the Android operating system platform, the HTC Eternity will support the upcoming Windows Phone 7.5 platform.
It is not only in the operating system that both these phones differ from each other, but they differ in a lot of different things as well. It primarily includes the touch screen display, which measures 4.3 inches in the Sensation and 4.7 inches in the HTC Eternity. Even though the possibilities of getting surprised by the display of the HTC Sensation is slightly less, one seriously cannot avoid the surprise at the 4.7 inch unit of the HTC Eternity. Now the phone has been brave enough to offer such a large display, but the HTC Eternity provides this, despite offering dimensions very similar to the HTC Sensation.
It is not only in the size of the touchscreen display that both phones differ from each other, but it is also in the resolution present within the display as well. The HTC Sensation offers a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, which is much better than any other HTC phone has managed up until now. In fact, it is much better than the resolution offered by the HTC Eternity, which may have a much larger display, but loses out in terms of resolution as it provides only 480 x 800 pixels. However, both these phones are not only about dissimilarities, as they also have a number of features in common as well. This includes the eight megapixel camera at the rear. Even though the options within the camera has slightly different, one can certainly say that the HTC touch is certainly present within this camera, as it is capable of taking high quality pictures with ease.
The HTC Eternity is a mobile phone that will offer an 1.5 GHz processor, but it is slightly Spartan in comparison with the 1.2 GHz dual core processor of the HTC Sensation. However, given that the HTC Eternity runs the mobile phone friendly Windows Phone 7.5 operating system, it is likely that this processor was more than enough for the phone. The HTC Sensation runs the much more powerful and graphics rich Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. In terms of the talk times offered, both phones are likely to be very similar, as they have batteries that are very similar in terms of ratings. The HTC Eternity is not available, but the Sensation is right now available for around £ 30 per month in the UK.
