HTC mobile phones are popular for their usage of Windows Mobile operating systems and now some of them are powered with Android OS. Primarily all HTC devices are touchscreen based with a classy look and an exquisite class written all over them. Two such handsets are HTC HD2 and HTC Pure.

HTC is a Taiwan based mobile phone producing company basically developing and introducing Windows Mobile phones. The phones thus have an exceptional software technology deployment and come in exquisite designs for a remarkable mixture of looks and features. They have recently also started using Android operating system as against Windows Mobile operating system to run their mobile phone gadgets. The company is a member of Open Handset Alliance whereby they would allow the open source Android operating system to run on its developed hardware system. The HTC Dream, also marketed as T-Mobile G1, is the first Android powered mobile phone to hit the market. The company's growth has increased immensely after Microsoft announced HTC to be its hardware development partner for the Windows Mobile operating systems. As of 2005 records, HTC's sales revenue was .2 billion which was an increment of 102% over the previous years. HTC products are sold under several brand names such as HTC Dopod and Qtek along with HTC named handsets which are rebranded as per the network provider getting the rights of the phone. Carriers which have formed alliances in the past include Orange, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel and others. Many of the HTC phones released these days come with an inbuilt touchscreen based keyboard for quick typing of text messages and E-mails.

Many exceptional features and designs can be found on the HTC handsets with two recent phones of and HTC Pure setting the standard and raising the bar as against its competitors in the same field.

HTC HD2 is a 3G enabled handset with quadband support for 2G GSM network connections. The phone comes with a massive 4.3 inch TFT capacitative touchscreen having a resolution of 480 X 800 pixels and possessing the ability to display sixty five thousand colours. The quality of this majestic display is enhanced by using accelerometer sensor for auto rotate, mutli touch input method, sense user interface, proximity sensor for auto turn off, ambient light sensor and pick to mute. Internal memory has 448MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. External memory support is provided through a microSD card. It has a five megapixel camera for recording videos and capturing great quality images. The phone runs on the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system and has a processor speed of 1GHz. Other features include WAP/HTML browsers, stereo FM with RDS, A-GPS support with NaviPanel, music and video player, applications for social networking sites, pocket office, HTC Peep and HTC footprints.

HTC Pure is a wonderful handset coming with 3G enabled technologies which make quick Internet usage and access possible. It has a 3.2 inch TFT resistive touchscreen with resolution of 480 X 800 pixels and having the ability to display sixty five thousand colours. The quality of this display is maintained and enhanced by way of a TouchFLO 3D finger swipe navigation, accelerometer sensor, touch sensitive zoom bar and handwriting recognition. Internal memory supports a 288 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM with external memory support allowing large scale storage space. It has a five megapixel camera too with touch focus and auto focus to capture quality images and recording of videos. The phone runs on the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional and a 528 Mhz processor speed. Other features include multiple messaging formats, HTML browser, stereo FM with RDS, A-GPS support, pocket office and an MP3 player.
