Why is the Nexus One (unlocked) so expensive?I was just wondering why the Nexus One (unlocked) is so expensive when compared to other phones? An example is the HTC HD2 which is $ 449 unlocked yet has better specs than the Nexus One.

Hello Dan! I was going to also purchase the same phone for t mobile, but in order to get the phone you have to go through Google who the phone is designed for,much like the i phone, and is very expensive. Google wanted me to pay for a locked one for 549.00 usd, but i can get an unlocked i phone 3g for 399.99, and HTC Touch pro 2 for 399.99, and the speculated HTC HD2 for 500.00 unlocked (im getting this for 299.00 through t-mobile) all in all Dan its just google who wants u to pony up big bucks for the name.
