The original Milestone was launched back in 2009 shortly after the arrival of the Google mobile operating system Android. This phone was a shining example of what Android was capable of as it came with excellent entertainment and professional features that satisfied all forms of phone users. Motorola has not confirmed all of the details of this next QWERTY Android although there are many features of the phone that are already known. For example, this will be the first Milestone phone with a dual core processor and this is speculated to be either 1GHz like the already released Atrix or even a faster 1.2GHz like the Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation.The Milestone 3 will also feature a larger 4.3" screen with a sharper qHD resolution that will make this the most visually impressive Milestone phone yet. This will also make the phone a little larger than earlier Milestone phones while at the same time being a comfortable phone to hold. The better visual quality will make this phone even more spectacular for video content and web browsing.The iconic QWERTY keyboard that has been a cornerstone feature of the Milestone series will still be present although it has had a minor make over. It now features a new 5 row design that makes it even more ideally suited for typing than earlier phones. There are plenty of features in which you will want to put this to good use, including threaded SMS, email, instant messaging and social networking.And the phone comes with excellent social networking support thanks to the Android operating system and Motoblur interface in use. While at present it is speculated that the Milestone 3 will run on Android Gingerbread it is highly likely that by the time of its release around September 2011 the phone be will able to run on the next Android Ice Cream Sandwich.Either way it will come with access to Android Market and be able to make use of all of the fantastic games and apps on offer there. There will also be good support for music and video playback including online video from YouTube, and this will be one of the main areas where you will really feel the benefit of the qHD screen.The phone is also likely to include a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, touch focus and geo-tagging and will come with HD video recording support. This may be 720p as rumoured but could much more likely be 1080p video support.The Milestone series has been a hugely popular series of phones since its first launch back in 2009. Each successive Milestone handset keeps getting better and better, and the Milestone 3 is no exception. It brings all of the latest smartphone developments to the table, including qHD graphics, 1080p video recording and dual core processing power ensuring that this will be the finest QWERTY Android phone of 2011 and easily as popular as its predecessors.
