Why does the US suck when it comes to unlocked cell phones?Europe and Asia have the Samsung Omnia and here only Verizon customers can get it. Most of the unlocked HTC phones are not available in the US either.

Because Big companies have a huge market in the US and they are anal about you doing things they dont like, so they make it as hard as possible to do here, but that costs money so they cant afford to do it in other countries.
That or Americans are dumb.
