Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ) will debut its Droid X smartphone from Motorola (NASDAQ:MOT) today, according to a Fierce Wireless report, which is not expected to suffer from the same problems as Verizon's HTC Droid Incredible or Sprint Nextel's (NYSE:S) HTC Evo 4G. The HTC devices have been hampered by shortages cause by component supply issues. A spokeswoman for the company, Brenda Raney, told BoyGeniusReport that Verizon will have plenty of Droid X devices available at stores. Verizon unveiled the Droid X Android smartphone at a press event in New York City last month. The phone will cost 9.99 with a two-year contract and after a 0 mail-in rebate. The company shares are currently trading 0.56% lower at .69.
