My contract of my Nokia 6230i phone for one year (bought in September 2005) is over now and the phone has started to get swiched off automatically while browsing or talking etc. I want to know that after finishing of my contract with the Orange (through dealer) am I still able to get my phone repaired for free from Nokia Service centre?
If Yes.........then please tell me what to do?
Thank You!

CELL PHONES HAVE A 1 YEAR MANUFACTURE WARRANTY. IF YOU PURCHASED INSURANCE WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, THEN YOU PHONE IS COVERED, IF NOT YOU ARE SOL.

I think all of the manufacturer's warranties are 1 year.

They're both right. Cell phones are covered for 12 months by the manufacturer. Unless you have insurance or you purchased an extended warranty you're going to have to purchase a new phone or pay to get yours fixed. If your wireless provider won't let you upgrade early my suggestion would be to find a phone on Ebay. Make sure it's a phone from the same provider but you'll save tons of money that way. You won't be able to insure it but a new phone at retail cost will be at LEAST 200 bucks and thats for the most basic phone you can find. Good luck and get insurance on the next new phone you purchase. It's woth it!!
