I am planning to travel to india this summer, and i've heard you can buy new sim cards there. however, i need to learn how to unlock my phone, which is a Nokia 6820 before I go. does anyone know the code to do this or where i can find out what the code is

its the last 4 digits of your phone number...if that doesnt work then try 1 2 3 4

the code is 27495876970806847697 than after you enter that take your phone put it in a bucket of gasoline and throw a match in it .......... that should unlock it buddy =)

It could be the last four digits of your number, 1234, 0000, or 9999. If you programed it to another number and forgot what the number was (like i have done before) you will probably have to take it to your local cell carrier store. Unless, your phone is like mine: try pressing 111111 and there may be an option other than 'unlock'. on mine the option is 'service'. once you press that button, you can reset the lock code without having to know what it was set to previously. hope it works on yours the way it does on mine.
