How can i delete my operator logo from the screen of my mobile phone?

i have a nokia 6230i and i dont want to see the operator logo anymore on my screen because it makes the background images appear ugly...
is there a java program or something like that to delete the operator logo?
if my wireless carier(network) is important, i'll tell u it's Orange... and i'm in Europe... (not England).
i heard about sending a sms at a certain number and it's deleted automatically...is that true?
