The indication that the battery is about to explode is that the phone's user asks stupid questions on Yahoo! Answers.
N80's batteries do not explode. There was a battery recall more than 1 year ago due to some faulty batteries manufactured by Sony. If you have such a battery (check the serial number at http://batteryreplacement.nokia.com/batteryreplacement/en/) then replace it asap. If not, don't worry, it will never explode.
