Can't update my Nokia 6300?

I'm trying to update my Nokia 6300 Firmware but when the software is searching for the device, it always say "The connection to the phone is busy".
I can't pinpoint what other software is accessing my phone; what could I be doing wrong? please help! thanks!

Make sure the phone isn;t on some sort of a pin or a security code this might be causing the problem!

i would suggest that you should format ur phone and then re install all the software for newly and good assistance...
