Hi, I've just bought my mum a new phone but it comes locked to Vodafone. She uses 02 and doesn't want to change to another provider. Can i unlock this phone either for free or on the cheap?
I've looked on the web but there are a lot of forums regarding this issue and i can't find one that directly relates. Also a lot of sites say they can do it but then they want £15 - 25.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No one provide you free unlock code. If anyone provides some codes and that code does not work then your phone will be permentely locked. Codes generate from server based on your IMEI so nobody will give you free.
There can be many ways to get your unlock code. If your contract period is complete you can ask your cellular operator for the unlock code. But, they do make it very difficult for you to get the code.
You can also visit http://www.unlock-zone.com/ and can see different options there to get unlock code for a price. Choose any price appropriate for you.
