My phone freezes when I flip the side unlock switch, it does nothing when I try to create a new profile for my ringing tone, what could the problem be? I have restored the factory settings and these problems are still there. What can I do to fix it?

My dad the same phone and I can say those phones are kinda crap coz It keeps hanging and it has other problems.I can't answer your question though cause I don't know.

did you installed a software before the first time this lockup happened to your phone? It must be a program glitch or a software conflict. Try uninstalling those apps that you just added after you purchased your phone, restart, and then try to use it again as usual. If the problem persists, then you might got to go to the service center of nokia for reformatting or upgrade of firmware.

I think you should get a new phone. I also have the 5800 which I am getting sick of because of all the problems it has (not to mention how slow this phone is). I'm getting an Android phone soon. I think you should do the same.
Try updating the firmware or go to a mobile repair shop.

1- download ovi suite
2- install ovi suite on your computer
3- connect your mobile to your computer
4- using the s/w update tab at the top make sure that you have the latest s/w version installed if yes make a repair to the current version, don't be afraid of loosing data as the s/w repair wizard will let you backup everything
5- if still same problem go to the next service provider

try hard reseting ur phone by dialing *#7370# and the code is 12345 but take a back up of ur phone first

I had this problem and it appeared to be the MicroSD card that was causing it...try removing it (not ideal) for the time being.
