I went into the applestore in san francisco to buy a spare laptop battery for long flights. The new touches had just arrived a few hours before. I wouldn't even have known if I hadn't overhead someone talking about it, because they weren't on the shelves yet.

16gb model - the 8 isn't in yet.

The C7 is impressively thin; certainly a departure from the 'ate all the pies' Nokia 5800.

This is partly a natural consequence of good design, but is also an example of impressive industrial engineering. Take the battery out, and you wonder where on earth they have managed to squeeze everything in.

So here we have my iPhone 3GS (Play & Listen), my Blackberry Bold 9780 (communications) and my un-loved Nokia 6303 (because my company are cruel and make me have it).

Ok, so the BB is going, the iPhone can do more than enough, I do love those BB keyboards, but the calendars, contacts and the ability to have multiple alarms on the iPhone are so much better than those on the BB!! (personal opinion of course).

The Nokia is just a pain, the battery meter is off the charts, it sits at full for about 2 days and then fails with no notice. In addition, once the battery fails, the bloody thing forgets the date and time :-o
