Unfortunately, there is no way to unlock a phone, then going to the Carrier where you got it. I have the same problem. If you go to the stores they make you sign a new Contract, however you can get a better phone for cheaper, if you don't have a contract going already, or it's about to end. You can take the Sim Card, which is generally located under the battery, on the back, and put it into your new phone. It depends how your phone got locked.
