Conditioning is allowing the battery to *completely* run down before charging again. This is also called "training" the battery. Typically this only has to be done once with modern cell phone batteries.

Its something that you may need to do for older phone batteries (Non Lithium).

It's a time consuming process, but it is worth doing. You will notice a difference:
Drain your battery completely (until the phone powers itself off)
Charge the battery for a long time (12hours)
Repeat this process 3 times

You can get battery conditioners that will drain the power from the battery and recharge both quickly and automaticely, but that is up to you. Check Radio Shack or eBay if you wanna pay for one
