what's the problem with my Nokia 6267 battery...?

I recently bought a new Nokia 6267. I have been charging it for 4 hours now (for the first time) but the charging animation has not yet disappeared...
and do I need to overcharge it when charging for the first time?

You should charge it overnight for the first charge before you use it and the anamation won't stop untill you unplug it.
