My Nokia 6230i doesn't ring but caller id shows when someone rings me, why is that?

It happens on and off throughout the day, other times it rings normally, it always plays up like that. What's busted....

Maybe a cold solder on the speaker wires. To make sure have it checked by a celphone technician.

Theres probably a loose wire.
There could be a button on the outside that turns on and off silent mode and it might get pressed in ur pocket
