Remove the sim card from the phone and enter in only the first code (ends with +1#) with no spaces in between. If you do enter in five incorrect codes, your phone will not be damaged, but the phone will remained locked. If this happens, you would more than likely have to get your phone unlocked by a third-party. " ...
Your local independent phone repair or service centre may be able to help.

You cant once you try to unlock the phone 5 times it locks it to the network that branded it. If its an ATT/Cingular phone it now can only be used on that network.
There is no work around!
